THE WOMAN’S ROLE IN THE BIBLE

Part 4: Women Loved Jesus
My Beloved Sister in Christ Ingrid Greetings,
Peace be unto you. I am grateful again to report my great love for our Father God which art in heaven may His will be done. Thanks also to our Father for our Savior Christ Jesus and for the divine presence of the Holy Spirit. Granted there is love among all that love God thus we pray that the unrighteous also come to embrace God and love.
Women during the time that Jesus our Savior walked the earth in the flesh played a great role in the Gospel experience. What was the great devotion to Jesus that we see in Mark 15:47 and Luke 23: 55. Did Jesus have a particular attitude toward women? (See Luke 8: 2-3, 8: 45).
In Luke 24: 1-9 we see various women visiting the tomb of Jesus. We will note several of these verses.
Luke 24: 1-3. “Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.”
“And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.”
“And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.”
Brethren if we are certain that Jesus arose on the third day and that the Sabbath noted here is on what we now call Saturday and the first day of the week is what we now call Sunday when did Jesus go to the cross? Is this important? If He went on Friday as most authorities in the Church claim how did He spend THREE DAYS IN THE TOMB? Also what was the day of preparation for the Passover? Was the day of preparation before the Passover and did Jesus go to the Cross on this day? What does the Bible say?
So what role did women play in the resurrection experiences? Just how significant was their role in informing the Apostles that Jesus had got up from the grave.
Verse 8 says: “And they remembered his words, (Also see John 22:2). What does this mean? Will women and humankind remember His words today? What if you believe and do many things in the Church that Jesus did not say? How can you be sure that you follow Jesus and not man?
The recollections of the Words of Christ are often noted in the Old Testament predictions that came to pass in the New Testament. Again can we follow Christ if we don’t follow the Bible? Why is there so much talk these days about a fictional Jesus?
