Part 8: Charges of Sin
In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.
Peace be unto you. For the record we
note that it is the duty of Christians to bring charges against those in the
church who commit flagrant sin. This is especially true regarding the Pastors
who are the primary leaders in the church. We (FreedomJournal) also note that in the midst of ungodly church
leadership the other most serious infraction in the church is the failure of
the church membership to take action.
The basic charges against most Preachers are flagrant disregard for Biblical guidelines concerning the chain of command in the church. The Bible reveals that Christ is the head of the church and God the Father is the head of Christ. The human in the flesh hierarchy begins with the Elders the Pastor and extends to the Deacons. However, most churches disregard the authority of the Elders and place this authority in the hand of the Preacher/Pastor.
Therefore, most churches are in a
state of confusion and ungodliness. The pronounced efforts of sin are noted in
an ungodly campaign to maintain a un- Biblical power base. Thus people with
valid credentials and skill are rebuked. Thus, there is often an all out purge
of members with knowledge of the scriptures. Therefore any member that will
challenge the willful neglect of the Laws of God rendered in the Bible is
removed from any office and Censored.
The Bible gives us clear instructions on our responsibilities toward the evil actions of church leaders. We find a scripture base in Ephesians 5:10-14. Verse 14 notes:
"And have no fellowship with the
unfaithful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
Paul instructs us to expose and rebuke
those that do wrong in the church. The silence of church members can be
interpreted as approval. God needs people who will stand up for what is right
without fear or favor. Therefore if the servants of God know of the existence
of sin and do not condemn it they are just as guilty as the people committing
Again we refer to the scripture noted
in Matthew 7:15-20. In this scripture Jesus teaches about the fruit in people’s
lives. This scripture also reveals that False Prophets bear evil fruit. Therefore
the scriptures are clear on how to identify False Prophets and what action we
are to take to rid the church of these ungodly people.
Verse 17 reads: "Even so every
good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil
In verse 20 we see a way to evaluate those that bring evil fruit and the false prophets.
"Wherefore by their fruits ye
shall know them."
A Pastor or Teacher is consistent in
his behavior and shows high moral character. Thus, he is consistent with his
interpretation of the Bible and is on one accord with those that believe and
trust in God. No one is free from sin and no one knows everything about the
Bible. Nevertheless, those that teach false doctrines are to be rebuked.
Motives of control, fame, money and prestige are not consistent with Godliness.
The 21st verse in Matthew follows with the indication that Jesus is more
concerned about how we walk the life of God more so than all the vain talk
about how holy and saved we are.
The Bible also reveals a plan of disciplinary action that applies to church members and church leaders. It is unfortunate that most churches fail to discipline members and church leaders. Often the discipline of church leaders only comes when they have committed such open sins that the church would be ridiculed if they did not take action.
We also commit for your mediation and reflection the Book of Micah. God is the judge, but God offers all of us the privilege to report. Thus, the FreedomJournal does not come to judge nor do we have that power. Our efforts are to indict all False Prophets, thus we will present our case. We will also offer the False Prophets a defense. The last stop is the judgment rendered by God at His pleasure.
