THE POWER AND MIRACLE OF PRAYER
Psalms of Prayer & Praise
Part 68: Part III Psalms 35: A Plea & Prayer For Your Enemies
In the name of God Master, of the Universe, Ruler of the earth
Editors Note: Beloved we come in the Spirit inspired by Almighty God realizing that those that keep a righteous heart cannot be exploited or used. If your heart is right those that seek your destruction, abuse and casual mis-use beat a dead horse that has a silent but very vocal and ever present Night Rider. Thus we pray for mercy for the enemies of God and His people. We also come fearless calling out the name of Jesus thanking Him and the Prophets the inspired writers for the forewarning of the evil lurking behind and in front of every tree in the world. The righteous will never see defeat only a setback of the flesh that will regain strength as the Spiritual awakening, cleansing and healing continues. No lie will be justified now, then and later nor was it in vogue with God yesterday.
The foolish meanwhile returned love that was preached for good. What are the grievances they have with the saints? No man or woman can stop the teaching of the Good News that has already gone forth. No slander will prosper as the good name of the righteous is already recorded. We have nothing but love for all humankind those that don’t see this are not as blessed as the blind man that can see.
Peace be unto you. To the Church (the Church of Christ Jesus the Prophets and Apostles) and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible (the Spirit of God) as the supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the straightway. Those called to great service are given the greatest prosperity that exists by God and not man.
As we continue our discussion on Psalms 35 we see the continuing saga of the lost enemies of God and David and their foolish campaign to harm him. David a man of righteousness prays for their mercy as he also seeks out the Lord in prayer. Meanwhile we see a clear testimony of those outside the will of God who believe that they can bring harm to God’s people.
We will resume our discussion at verse 11.
Psalms 35: 11 “False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.”
When one lives a righteous life and has a sincere heart he cannot be exploited. Also the testimony against him can only be false. Since he sought not to hurt or harm anyone he would not be aware of the false charges levied against him. Meanwhile as we look to these times we see various (many) false charges laid against the FreedomJournal as we go about critiquing the landscape leaning on the Truth of God’s Word. A scattered, tattered and torn group also falls by the wayside as their substance is bland and of no use even for the hogs that wallow in slop.
At the 27th Division of Psalms we see 14 verses with a theme of trust in the Lord. This trust will also render one fearless toward any obstacles he or she may face. Look with us at verse 12.
“Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.”
David our beloved brother moved by the Spirit offers us once again more than once a forewarning on how to cope with false witnesses and liars. First of all he knew that those they moved in righteousness would have enemies. Therefore he prayed not to be removed from the enemies list but to be supported by God as he faced his enemies. (Look to the New Testament and II Timothy 3: 12 for a note on this doctrine).
Meanwhile David prayed that his enemies would not defeat him. The bitterest kinds of enemy are those that hide in covert ways and bring false witness and lie. Those that openly attack you actually move with principles as they are open in their opposition. “Open racism has a one-sided quarrel, but the racism economic and otherwise that dwell under the cover in covert ways quarrels with the world.”
But the liars that came to lie on David and those that still taint the character of the FreedomJournal Press are cowards. Thus we thank God for David for allowing us to see and understand more about those that oppose freedom of worship and those that stand and die on the Truth of God.
At our primary scripture verse 12 reveals that the wicked are so filled with hate that they will return evil for good. For example those that are Godly as they seek to uplift the Lord and show compassion to their fellowman are often attacked in a wicked manner as they go about rendering compassion and love to the brethren.
Psalms 35: 13 “But as for me when they were sick, my cloth was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.”
During these times sackcloth was worn in an act of mourning. When David’s enemies were in trouble he grieved for them as all normal human beings do that rely on the human emotion of love. For example during the New Testament times the Apostle Paul told the brethren to “weep with them that weep.” (See Romans 12: 15). Here we see David expressing this same sentiment in the form of his fasting and prayer. However his enemies returned his prayer with evil. They revealed a selfish spirit and did not appreciate his sincere interest in their welfare. Beloved the righteous pray for the good and the bad the righteous and the unrighteous, enemies and friends. Those with a Black heart know not of the will of God ingrained in those that offer love to all of the people that God created.
At the 30th Division of Job that good Gentile man Job describes his present humiliation and trials. Look now with us at the cross reference noted at the 25th verse.
“Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? Was not my soul grieved for the poor?”
This is a powerful chapter please find the time to read and study all 31 verses. Also box in our primary verse here with the verse before and after for an added blessing.
Now go with us to the Book of Jeremiah at the 18th Division and verse 20 where the Prophet writes about the persecution of his enemies as they try to prevent him from teaching and bring a silent tone to his voice inspired by God.
“Shall evil be recompensed for good? For they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.”
Beloved we remind you of the powerful word found here. We also remind you of the direct messages the Prophet Jeremiah made to the Preachers and religious leaders of his day and time and for all times. Lord have mercy on those that continue to slander the messengers of the FreedomJournal Press and those that are sent to stand for God.
At this place Jeremiah does not complain but he reveals that the lost and those that came to persecute him digged a hole, a pit for his soul. As they slandered him and his name for teaching God’s Truth they rendered evil for good. We (FreedomJournal) see Jeremiah crying and weeping for the lost brethren that even to this day don’t know their enemies from friends and blame the victim.
David as we are taught to do treated his enemies that were in distress as he would those that he loved in his family and close friends. But this kindness was never appreciated. The wicked often rejoice in the trials and tribulations of the saints. As they rejoiced they also secretly plotted against David. Nothing done in the dark will the see the light of day but the Light of Jesus will always shine on them. So with this brief mention of verses 14 and 15 of Psalms 35 we will resume this discussion with our primary scripture and verse 19 and Part IV.
