Part 28:  We Pray In Confidence That God Will Hear & Answer Our Prayers (Psalms 3:5 & 1-4)

In the name of God Master, of the Universe, Ruler of the earth

Editors Note: Let it be written when all is said and done that the Lord does not work like man. His blessings are holy and come by way of things that are often unseen. However we advise you to stay with the Lord as He will see you through the storms of night and day. We embrace the Word this day and we pray for the peace to see God every day we liveth.

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. To the Church (the Church of Christ Jesus the Prophets and Apostles) and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible (the Spirit of God) as the supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the straightway.

My beloved Brethren I come testifying in joy that there is a blessing in searching out God’s Word. Glory to God. As always as we seek out the Truth of God we also pray that we will receive something so that we will be able to assist someone else to see the Light. Rest assured we come this way not as selfish human beings created by God the Father however we come to render a service toward building the kingdom of God. What do you live for?

Many have come upon the land living only for houses and land. Some only live to lust for an elusive love that is only seen in the righteous that know God. Some know not what they live for they just go with the wide foul flow of the goats to a rude and vile place. We pray that we will never have to flee from our sons as did David. Here in the 3rd Divisions of Psalms we see our brother David fleeing from his son Absalom who had the desire to take his life. Here we also find comfort in the Word as the Lord will protect and keep the righteous. This   is Good News and worthy of the saints shouting about it.

So follow us to this powerful message our primary verse is verse 5 however we will include the first four verses and the verse that follows verse 5. There are only 8 verses found here and we suggest that you read and study the entire Chapter for your thought and mediation. There is surely a victory in the defeat that comes by way of the flesh. Stay patient and stay in confidence as the Lord is in control.

Psalms 3:1-5: “Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me.”

“Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.”

“But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter of mine head.”

“I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.”

3: 5: “I laid me down and slept; I asked; for the Lord sustained me.”

Here we see that David who believed in the Lord was kept in confidence. We also note that many of the Psalms of David were prompted by his experiences. We (FreedomJournal) have also been often called upon to write about our experiences. Meanwhile many cry foul but know not that what they do is commanded in a calling of our pen. Rest assured as we move in the Wind we stay in the Spirit as this is how we come to realize what God would have us to do.

David was under the watchful care of the Lord. We pray that the Lord will continue to watch over us as we move upon the land. If we believe and trust in Him as did David, the Word teaches us that we can have the same blessings. This is good, as noted previously there is surely a blessing in God’s Word each time you look upon it. So in his waking  hours and the times that he slept God watched over David thus he was not to worry about his enemies are anybody that walked or crawled upon the earth.  (Also see Psalms 4:8 which reveals virtually the same message: “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.”

We will now review several cross references to see further that God will hear and answer our prayers. Can you be absent from the Truth and still maintain the confidence that God will hear your prayers? Beloved we pray that you continue to grow in the Truth of God and not man. Man has no exclusive hold on Truth. Truth comes from God. Think on these things. Meanwhile we see many that have great confidence in man and his limited truth. However we pray for these people among the Church pews and in the streets of life that are lost.

At Leviticus 26 the Word teaches us about obedience. Surely when we obey God we will receive a blessing. Can this blessing be an answered prayer?

Leviticus 26: 6: “And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.”

Here the Lord promises to protect the Hebrew people from the evil nations around them. We also see the protection of the Lord from the enemies of God and His people today. It is always a great blessing to see the scriptures look beyond the time in which they were written.

The Book of Proverbs is noted as the Wisdom Book. Follow us to the 3rd Division and see a further example of wisdom and faith and confidence in the Lord.

Proverbs 3: 24-26: “When thou liest down, thou shall not be afraid: yea, thou shall lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”

“Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.”

For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep our foot from being taken.”

Beloved is there a great assurance in being right? As we look at this scripture we see many parallels in our plight or sojourn. We come not to debate as to who is right or wrong. However through the wisdom of God we can see right from wrong. But in many cases the multitudes flock on the wrong side and the side that lacks wisdom.  Surely then an assurance of Truth is a vital element for a good night’s sleep.

As we look at verse 25 we see that wisdom will allow us to deal with any crisis or emergency situation. We also come not in dread of any enemy as he is not backed up by wisdom. Finally we see that the secret to all of this confidence is merely faith in the Lord. The Lord knows all about the tricks and schemes of the enemy. However as we abide in His wisdom digesting the Word we can see these things.  This we do in prayer and sustain the confidence that the Lord will hear and answer our prayers.

Now look at our final verse taken from our primary scripture at Psalms 3.

Psalms 3: 6: “I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about.”

Beloved Glory to God. There are no numbers when we move with the Lord. There is no majority rule. The FreedomJournal stands on God’s Truth when even siblings, many among our family and so-called friends come to deny us (as did the son of David come in denial) we continue stand. The true man of God is willing to stand against an army of millions for the Lord. Who said that the majority is right? Wisdom comes by way of the Lord and His Word and the Spirit.
