PARABLE

HE WHO WAVES AT THE WATER

10 May 2006, Stewart’s Creek, by Carl A. Patton

There was once a righteous

man. He loved God and

the Great Creation. He also

stood up for God and often

there were sacrifices for his

love and obedience.

However he did not complain.

Meanwhile many among the

world and its multitudes,

thought he was crazy.

His refusal to discard

Truth for money, friendship

and fame caused others great

grief. But he had joy.

While they slept and

looked to the Goats he

waved at the water.

He also paid tribute in

salute to the rolling hills and

mountains and the deep lush

valleys.

Who saw him wave? Were

the righteous all hidden?

Meanwhile as he waved at

the water he saw who walked

across the Great sea.
