November 17, 2006, Victory Park, by Carl A. Patton

This is the parable of “The

Fetch It Man.” This

man could surely go get

what he was told to fetch.

“The Fetch It Man” who

dug ditches and lifted hay

could tell much but “The

Fetch It Man” who

claimed letters told more.

Why couldn’t “The Fetch

It man” just stay

at home? Why did

he venture out into

the world?

Did he often volunteer to fetch

It? Was he pleased with what

he fetched? Did he know

what he fetched? Sadly

did he care?

Meanwhile the spook often

called John as always

watched and observed.

“The Fetched It Man”

saw him,

He told the fetcher

and he kept John

in the ditch.
