(What Does The Bible Teach About Preachers?)
Part 102: The Old Covenant Sin and Death The New Forgiveness of Sin and Life Everlasting
(II Corinthians 3: 6-)
Peace be unto you. We thank our Father God which art in Heaven and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus and to the divine presence of the Holy Spirit.
Father many come not knowing what is the Law? Nor do they understand the way of righteousness is the heart. However the Holy Spirit leads guides and directs those that seek Truth in the Bible. Where is the Spirit among those that seek not God and Truth but seek to dishonor the Book and use His name in vain?

Is the ignorance among the Brethren about the Old Covenant making a transition to the New Covenant the reason many people are brainwashed about a Jewish tithing law? Therefore do many of the lost brethren in the church have this great confusion about Jewish laws and those given to Jews and Gentiles by Christ? Meanwhile let the record show that one can only be brainwashed and lied to about Gods Laws when they look to man and not God.
II Corinthians 3: 6: Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (See Ephesians 3: 7)
Paul as a called minister of God was directed by the Spirit to carry out the commands of Christ. The New Testament came to succeed the Old Testament in that the Law now is written upon our hearts not on tables of stone. Paul was made an able minister of the New Covenant. The Law as written (letter killeth). Follow us to Romans for another cross-reference scripture.
Romans 8: 2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Paul calls the first Covenant the law of sin and death because it inflicted physical death upon those who committed serious violations of it. (Also see Hebrews 10: 28) Now follow us to the Prophet Jeremiah writing in the 31st division of Jeremiah. Here we find a powerful prediction of the transition of the Old Covenant to the New. Verse 31 is our primary verse. However we suggest that you consider the verses that follow (verses 32 and 33) to get a full understanding of the message here.
Jeremiah 31: 31: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (Also see Hebrews 8: 8-12).
Israel and Judah made up the 12 tribes. However in the fulfillment of this prediction Jews and Gentiles would be accepted. This is the law of Christ that embraces all of humankind. Thus those that accept Christ under the New Covenant are the chosen.
Furthermore the New Covenant is different from the Covenant passed down a Mt. Sinai. For example circumcision conveyed membership to the group among the Jews. But the New Covenant has to be entered accepting it in the heart and mind.
In the Gospel of John Christ Jesus at Chapter 6 teaches about the presence of spiritual food in the following verse.
John 6: 63: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profileth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The Bible has been given by the work of the Holy Spirit. Here Jesus reveals that the essence of spiritual food is His words and teaching. Because His words are spiritual and His words will sustain the Spirit of the righteous in a life forever. So it is not the Law but the Spirit that comes by way of Christ that will afford the benefits of eternal life for those that live for Christ.
