Part 8: The Way To Spiritual Healing Is Now Revealed (I Corinthians 2: 7).

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. We give all the glory to Almighty God who has spared us to see another day. Father we are grateful for the inspiration and gift to write about the life and times of humankind. Therefore we are grateful that as we critique the landscape and its people we are guided by Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. For this blessing we forever give thanks.

“Meanwhile as the mysteries unfold the blind man was able to see if he looked. Thus many that were blind stayed in the dark as without eyes they were not able to see.”

Peace and Love, Carl A. Patton a willing slave of Almighty God writing for the FreedomJournal December 4, 2006 in the year of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth

The Gospel is not hidden nor is the Old Testament a great mystery for the believers. However all (many) things will be revealed in God’s time.

I Corinthians 2: 7: “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”

God’s hidden (mystery) wisdom is His plan of salvation for humankind through Christ. This was once hidden but it is now revealed. The resurrection of Christ revealed this plan to those that are not blind. For the record do those that cremate and burn the dead deny the resurrection? If you tithe claiming it is now commanded by God do you deny the resurrection?

We also note that one does not have to be an inspired person to understand the Gospel. To understand the Gospel you must accept Christ and believe in faith. The phrase “before the world” means that God planned the salvation of man even before the age of human existence. But no certain man has been ordained to be saved. The Father has thusly rendered the framework by which all men might be saved if they will obey Him.

As we move to an even greater understanding of Spiritual Healing go with us to I Peter.

I Peter 1: 10-12: “Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

“Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.”

“Unto who it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.”

Here we see that prophecy was revealed in the Old Testament concerning the salvation that would come from Christ. These prophets were inspired although they often did not know the full meaning of the prophecies. (Also see Galatians 3: 8; Genesis 12:3). Now turn back to Romans for another word.

Romans 8: 29-30: “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

“Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

The faithful to death mean the saints that slept. God never predestinates people because of their character. However He did predetermine what kind of character would receive certain favors.

Romans 16: 25-27: “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,”

“But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:”

“To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.”

My Gospel is the Gospel that Paul is preaching rendered by preaching. The mystery of salvation through Christ is now being revealed through the Gospel. Meanwhile Paul relied on the predictions in the Old Testament as faith came to replace the Law all nations could realize this truth with obedience to faith. God is the origin of all true wisdom and through Christ you can see God.

Now turn to Ephesians where Paul gives us an additional account of the mystery of the Gospel revealed through Christ.

Ephesians 3: 3-5: “How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery ;( as I wrote afore in few words,

Whereby, when ye read, ye my understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;”

Revelation here means a disclosure of truth, instruction, concerning divine things, before unknown especially relating to Christian salvation. This communication was made possible by addressing the intelligence of the Apostles and not by emotions. This is how God made Paul aware of the truth of the Gospel that he may preach and teach to the Brethren.

Paul and the other inspired writers were revealed the Gospel through the Holy Spirit. Here again an uninspired person also could understand the Gospel. In Genesis 12:3 and 22: 18 we see the promise to Abraham that Jews and Gentile would be blessed by the Gospel of Christ. This is also noted at various other places in the Old Testament. But the system was never fully revealed to them. Paul teaches though that it is revealed by the Spirit. Understanding this Spirit will allow you Spiritual Healing.
