Part 6: God’s Wisdom Will Last Forever (I Corinthians 2:5)

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. Brethren we give thanks for the inspiration that comes with each blessed day. Thus we forever thank Almighty God our Father and to His son our Savior we also praise. We also give thanks for the joy and comfort of the Holy Spirit.

“There was once a bull-headed man. However he had received training and credentials from some of the best schools of the world. But he knew little nor respected anything about God.

Meanwhile another man who loved to jump up and down said he was called to the ministry and thus went to be trained at a recognized Seminary. He although coming in contact with God thought he could rule God and interpret His Word like the fashionable and established Preachers.

However both men were lost and tainted with the wisdom of the world. The sense they had went with the head as breath left the body.”

Peace and Love, Carl A. Patton a willing slave of Almighty God writing for the FreedomJournal December 1, 2006 in the year of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth

I Corinthians 2:5: “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (Also see II Corinthians 4:7).

Our faith will last due to our belief in the Gospel. This will draw men to Christ. But if we base our faith on the changing wisdom of man we will fail, because the flawed wisdom of man will be exposed. Therefore Brethren don’t be dismayed that the false teachers seem to be riding high with great success, a multitude of followers and are very popular. In God’s time the era and days of fables and stories told by the entertainers of the pulpits will be all over.

In order to win souls to Christ we must suffer hardships. However we must be separate from unbelievers. On the road to Spiritual Healing we see a faithful and consistent ministry of Paul moved and inspired by the Spirit.

II Corinthians 6: 7: “By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.”

The “armour righteousness” is also noted at Romans 13:2; II Corinthians 10: 3-5 and at Ephesians 6: 10-18. The greatest defense against an attack upon the believers is to live a life consistent in righteousness. Therefore we (FreedomJournal) see our enemies even at peace as we stay with God. Although the wind may produce small storms and hard rain we have always survived. We also bear witness that we get a great blessing by obeying God and fulfilling His will in our writing and teaching ministry.

Meanwhile Paul reveals that “the word of truth” was offered by the Gospel. This truth opposed the false and distorted theories by the Greek philosophers. Also Paul makes known that the “power of God” was the reason for his success and his personal talent or ability. We also give God all the credit for we are nothing without God.

Now go with us to another related scripture as the Apostle Paul teaches us to stay faithful to the Lord.

I Thessalonians 1: 5: “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.”

Brethren we bear witness that the false teachers that come attempting to deny Paul and try to determine when Paul speaks and when God speaks are on a low road. Paul was inspired in all things written as the Holy Spirit was forever upon him.

Therefore the phrase “not in word only” means that it was not the word of Paul as a man only. The “power” came from the Holy Ghost (Spirit). Therefore Paul came with great confidence and “much assurance".

Consequently those that followed the teaching of Paul and the disciples were blessed by the Holy Spirit. You can also be blessed and receive Spiritual Healing if you follow Truth inspired by the Holy Spirit.
