Part 5: The Holy Spirit Inspires The Called Preacher (I Corinthians 2:4)

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. We are grateful from whence we came and to where we are going. Thus we do give thanks to Almighty God, Christ and for the Holy Trinity.

Brethren the Holy Spirit is not working in the hearts and minds of evil. If God is not first in man he has forsaken God. Meanwhile many great entertainers have come upon the land claiming to speak for God. You cannot see God if you see them.

Peace and Love, Carl A. Patton a willing slave of Almighty God writing for the FreedomJournal November 30, 2006 in the year of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.

Can you receive Spiritual Healing by following false teachers? Why is it so important to know if God has called someone to the ministry? How do you know if someone is called? Is the FreedomJournal called to a writing and teaching ministry? Will the righteous and those that become righteous support those that speak for God? Is there a great sacrifice to speak for God? What is the reward for standing up for Truth? Who looks to instant gratification and think that salvation is guaranteed?

I Corinthians 2: 4: “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power:”

The wisdom of man that comes from communicating by speaking or preaching is insufficient to persuade the heart to accept Christ. For example many people are brain-washed to accept things of the world when they hear the various motivational speakers and entertainers that claim to be preachers.

Meanwhile Paul declares that he depended on the Holy Spirit which was the most important element in his preaching and teaching ministry. However the power of the Holy Spirit does not solely come without some responsibility toward study and preparation.

I Corinthians 4: 20: “For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.”

Paul renders a great lesson at this place that is so important in accessing the multitude of false teachers that roam the church buildings today. These people are loud talkers and they come from the world with the world in their minds. But they have no power and they have been exposed. However many people see the world and not God.

Turn now to II Peter 1: 16. The writer here advises us to pay attention to scripture. By doing so you will be able to see those that come sent by God and those sent by something else.

II Peter 1: 16: “For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you  the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses of his majesty.”

Peter teaches the Brethren during the time he wrote and for us in 2006 that the Jews joined other people in an attack on the Gospel of Christ by telling myths (fables) with tricky language to deceive the uninformed.

Meanwhile the Apostles warned the Brethren about these speeches (See I Timothy 1: 4; 4: 7; II Timothy 4: 4; Titus 1: 14). Peter declares that he did not depend on these false stories when he taught the Brethren about Christ. Again it is evident that the truly called rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and not the wisdom of the world.

We will conclude this part of our discussion with a scripture taken from Romans 15: 19.

Romans 15: 19: “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

Again we see that the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) inspired Paul to preach. This is the same Spirit that will render Spiritual Healing if we accept it.
