SPIRITUAL HEALING VS. PHYSICAL HEALING

Part 15: Obtaining The Mind of Christ

(I Corinthians 2: 16).

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. We give thanks to Almighty God, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thus we know to be Christ-like takes on responsibility.

“You cannot be like Christ and be like man.”

Peace and Love, Carl A. Patton a willing slave of Almighty God writing for the FreedomJournal December 11, 2006 in the year of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

In the second Chapter of Philippians we find the humility of Christ and his characteristics noted in verses 1-11 of special regard are verses 5-7. However our primary verse is 5.

Philippians 2: 5: “Let his mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”.

The mind of man can never be equal to that of Christ. However we are to seek the interest and side with Jesus. Jesus always was mindful of others. To be Christ-like we also must be mindful of others.

Now we return to our primary scripture taken from I Corinthians 2. Verse 16 is also the last scripture in this Chapter. However our discussion will continue to the Book of Romans as we explore aspects of the Spirit and how it impacts on Spiritual Healing in more detail.

I Corinthians 2: 16: “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ”. (Also see Job 15: 8; John 15: 15).

We (man) do not, cannot know how to instruct the Lord. Logically then all spiritual information comes from the Lord to man. Paul declares that this transformation had taken place in him. Therefore he had the mind of Christ.

Psalms 25: 14: “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will shew them his covenants”.

Secret here is related to intimacy, those that fear the Lord become close to the Lord. This closeness (intimacy) will also allow the Lord to reveal His covenant to them.

Now go with us back to the New Testament and the Book of Romans.

Romans 11:34: “For who hath Known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his counselor”?

We do not know the infinite mind of the Lord. Therefore it would not make sense for man to even think of advising Him.

Brethren here again we offer a very simple rule to be Christ-like and follow the righteous Lord to salvation. Keep God first and stay in prayer. Then you can see God, you can be Christ-like and you can also receive Spiritual Healing.
