Greetings Brethren:

The multitudes are dead, died in sin and suffer a terminal spiritual sickness. Sadly countless traditional so-called Christian churches are places of Satan and have rejected God Jehovah. A day of Death looms on the horizon but no man knows the dreadful day. However, there are many signs. The rejection of the Word of God Jehovah in the Church Houses is surely a clear and evident sign. So is the leadership of Satan seen in the countless so-called Preachers?

Peace and Love,

In the name of God Jehovah, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.

The Prophet Jeremiah reveals that the idol gods of the people were the sun, moon and stars. However, these were worthless as a means to save the people. The spiritual sickness of the people could only be healed by God? Meanwhile the people are deceived by false teaches and take the crooked way.

The record shows that the contemporary church is still infested with false teachers. There is also a lust for ungodly idols. Thus, as the contemporary false teaches come out of evil places some claim to have healing power and claim a special calling from God. Hence they place stumbling blocks between the people and God Jehovah who has healing power.

Jeremiah 8:4. "Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; shall they fall, and not arise? Shall he turn away, and not return?"

Jeremiah reminds the people that they were going in the wrong direction. Thus, there was a need to get up after their fall and change direction. However Jehovah observed that the people were well aware that they lived in sin. Meanwhile they deceived themselves into thinking that there would be no consequences.

Related Scripture:

Jeremiah 7:24-27.

"But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward." "Inclined not their ear" not only refers to the failure to obey the commands of Jehovah, but it is a further indication that did not listen to see what was expected of them, "Walked in the counsels means that they follow man in the flesh instead of the divine law.

God Jehovah sent prophets throughout the Old Testament to help heal the spiritual sickness of the people. Meanwhile Jeremiah was told to speak to the people, yet he was warned that his words would not be received.

Jeremiah Weeps For the People

Jeremiah 9:6. "Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the Lord."

(Also see Micah 7:8)

The divine law of Jehovah has always been with us. However the people during the time of Jeremiah as do the people today often deny the law of Jehovah.

Jeremiah 8:8-11.

"How do ye say, we are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain."

Here the people assumed they could be the law and the writings of the scribes were worthless and not binding. The wise men in this verse refer to the corrupt leaders that thought they were so wise they did not need the word of God Jehovah. In verse 10 Jeremiah reveal the classes of people whom Jehovah was condemning, The Prophets and priests thought they were too important to be dependent on Jehovah's word.

Jeremiah 8:11. "For thy have healed the heart of the daughter of my people slightly, saying,

peace, peace; when there is no peace."

The prophets and the priests were lying and giving false information to the people. Instead of trying to correct sin they told the people all is well.

Also see the following scripture:

Jeremiah 8:8-9, 6: 14-15, 4:22, Romans 1:22, 2:17, 1 Corinthians 1:27

As Jeremiah mourns for his people, he sees a sad day for his people. As he sees a world dying of sin the rejection of God is evident.

Jeremiah 8:22. "Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?"

Gilead was noted for its balm that was taken from balm trees. This balm was worth twice its weight in silver. Balm was used for the treatment of wounds. Jeremiah makes the figurative statement if there is no physician in Gilead who could heal his people.

Meanwhile the spiritual sickness could be healed if the people accepted Jehovah. They refused and the God who is all loving will not force his healing on an unrepentant people.

Jeremiah 30:13. Sin is terminal and cannot be cured by being good or religious. Trust in Jehovah.

Jeremiah 46:11. "Go up into Gilded, and take balm."

Genesis 37:25. Thy Came from Gilead bearing balm and myrrh.
