Greetings Brethren:

It is written that the Path of God will often see storms but the Light of Jehovah God is always there. Thus be mindful of the temporary light that is seen in false pleasures that are absent of Joy. Hear the Truth of Almighty God Jehovah. This Call is being made now but not for everlasting. To reap everlasting Joy answer the call.

Peace and Love,

Carl Patton a slave of Jehovah God and as a servant of Jehovah God a willing servant of the people, writing for the FreedomJournal June 14, 2001 in the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.

Down through the ages God has reached out to His people. The messages have often come from the faithful keepers of the faith. The Godly will rest in peace. Thus as the faithful suffer, the Lord condemns idolatry and extends help to the helpless.

Here in Chapter 57 the prophet Isaiah continues the previous discussions noted in Chapter 56. The selfish and corrupt leaders exploited the people they were supposed to lead and caused many to perish. This cruelty was centered among the priests and the prophets.

Psalms 12:1. You are never alone in the battle against evil.

Isaiah 57:2. "He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his up rightness."

The wicked and evil actions toward the righteous are for naught. Even if the wicked kill the righteous, he is not the loser in the end. When one is taken away in an upright life, they are removed from the wicked world in the land of the living.

Isaiah 26:7. "The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dust weigh the path of the just."

If a man indicates a desire to walk in a just path, God will provide a path for him.

Isaiah 35:8. "And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness;

This highway is found only by following God. Only the redeemed will travel God's highway.

The path of the righteous will continue to get bright while the path of the wicked dims with time.

Psalms 25:4-5. "Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths."

God's primary guidance system is the Word, the Bible.

Psalms 119 tells of the endless knowledge found in the Bible.

Isaiah 42:16. "And I will being the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known:"

As we return to our main scripture, we see the prophet Isaiah in verse 12 revealing the following.

Isaiah 57:12. "I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall profit thee."

Isaiah warned the people that their idols nor their good works and righteousness would save them. We cannot receive salvation through good works. Good works are not good enough to outweigh our sins. Salvation is a gift from God. Thus the only way to receive salvation is through faith in Christ. (See Ephesians 2:8-9)/

Pride and lust noted in verses 1-14 are still great problems in the church today. However, God has always revealed a way to be redeemed. In verses 15-21 God tells us how he relates to those who are humble and repentant. The humble nature of man to God and an open heart of repentance open the door to healing.

Isaiah 57:18. "I have seen his ways, an will heal him: I will lead him also and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

This verse deals with the principles in which God deals with man. Thus God as the Redeemer stand ready to rescue man when he abides by His terms. (Also see Isaiah 53:5, 61:1-3).

Isaiah 57:19. "I created the fruit of the lips; peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the lord: and I will heal him."

"The fruit of the lips," referred to in this passage is the word peace. "I create" means that the lips of man cannot truthfully speak of peace except as God authorizes them so to speak. "Far off an near," generally means all grades and classes of men. Here we see the prediction that the favors of God are to be offered to the Gentiles as well as the Jews. (See Ephesians 2:17, Isaiah 26:12).
