Greetings Brethren:

We declare as Almighty God is our witness and Judge that many people will (have) reject (ed) the Truth of God. Meanwhile they preach and teach false doctrines regarding healing. They also preach and teach that financial prosperity is a great priority in the religious experience. Healing was given to the Apostles and the Prophets. However humankind receives the ultimate gift with the knowledge and Truth of God. The Truth of God will thus bring the unmerited prize of Peace and Paradise which is salvation. You cannot receive this prize with a Love, Lust and insatiable desire for money.

Peace and Love,

Carl Patton writing for the FreedomJournal June 1, 2001 in the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.

The Prophet Isaiah is often noted as the greatest Old Testament Prophet. Isaiah's vision of God is revealed in this Book. In chapter 6 we see the call of Isaiah. In the year that King Uzziah died Isaiah saw beyond his funeral rites and saw heaven. He then became immediately aware of his own sins and the sins of the nation.

Isaiah 6:5. God Commissions Isaiah.

"Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the king, the Lord of hosts."

When God called Isaiah as a Prophet, God did not tell him that he would have great success. He told him that the people would not listen. However he was to speak and write his messages anyway because eventually some would listen.

6:8. "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here I am; send me.

Thus, the Prophet Isaiah begins warning the people not to rebel against God. Therefore Israel is urged to call upon the Lord for help, and seek help and maintain alliances with foreign powers.

As we move to the Prophets message in Chapter 36, we see the prophecy against rebels. Here God also warns the people of Israel to not expect help from Egypt.

Isaiah 30:1. "Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

The word cover in this passage means to form an alliance. As the people moved to form this unholy alliance, the prophet Isaiah condemned them. Sadly the people sought advice from everyone but God. We also note that rebellious children in this passage is a general term for the Jews as a nation. This term is further noted as the people counseled with Egypt and false prophets.

Related Scripture:

Isaiah 8:11. "For the Lord spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

Isaiah was in the midst of a corrupt people. With a strong hand means that God spoke to the prophet with force. Thus, he warned him not to walk in the ways of the wicked. (Also see Ezekiel 2:8 and 2 Timothy 4:2).

Isaiah 8:12. "Say ye not, a confederacy to all of them to whom this people shall say, a confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid."

Here the Lord tells Isaiah if the people suggest an alliance or confederacy be formed he was not to agree with them. Even if they raised a cry of fear he was told to ignore them and tell them to trust in God. (Also see 1 Peter 3:13-15).

We are also directed to a message from the prophet Jeremiah that adds to our understanding of this passage of scripture.

Jeremiah 6:31. "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?

When Jeremiah spoke, the people were in a religious crisis. The Priests, God's ministers had left God. Thus they were led by their authority and not by the Truth of God's Word. Meanwhile many of these Prophets told lies and half truths that came from man in the flesh. Also the people turned from the Truth of God's Word and heard only what they wanted to hear and that which was pleasing. Thus Jeremiah like Isaiah often spoke to deaf ears.

Isaiah 30:10. "Which say to the Seers, see not, and to the prophets, prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

Some of the Jew as they continued their rebellious ways settled in Egypt. Hence they only wanted to hear good news. They did not want to hear the Truth from God's Prophets. Thus, they did not want to be disturbed by unpleasant rebukes or threats of the future.

30:11. 'Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us."

The Truth often makes one uncomfortable. Here the prophets notes the Lord will turn from the rebellious children. Meanwhile the Jews preferred lies and illusions that made them feel more secure. Jesus said that the Truth will set you free. (John 8:32).

Related Scripture Isaiah 30:10

1 Kings 22:7-13.

22:7. "And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might enquire of Him?"

Jehoshaphat knew there was a difference between the heathen prophets mentioned here and the Prophets of the Lord.

Jeremiah 6:14. Jerusalem's last warning.

"Thy have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, peace, peace; when there is no peace."

As Jeremiah warned the people that said ignore it and it will go away. Thus, they denied truth. Sin is not removed through denial.

Ezekiel 13:7 and 1-10. Judgment against False Prophets.

The warning revealed in Ezekiel 13 is directed against false prophets whose messages were not for God. False Prophets had a large following because they approved of the peoples sinful actions.

2 Timothy 4:3-4. "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."

4:4. And they shall turn away their ears for the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

Related Scripture Isaiah 30:11

Isaiah 5:24. "Therefore as the fire devoured the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossoms shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel."

The people suffered because they discarded God's law. The Word of God is necessary for our existence, thus the reading and study of the Bible is a high priority in our Christian lives.

Isaiah 59:13. Warnings against sin. Also, see 12 and 14.

"In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood."

Lying against the Lord and turning away from God are the same. Thus when a man implies that the way of God is wrong he is saying the way of God is false.
