WHO, WHAT DO CHRISTIANS FEAR?
Peace be unto you. The strength and power of the Lord is upon us. Therefore we will have no fear.

Fear is often an on-going reality for many people that walk and crawl the planet earth. It can also be devastating, bringing havoc to oneís mind, body and soul.
Therefore what is fear? Does fear have a different meaning for believers? Do the believers conquer fear?
Fear is defined in the secular world as ďa being afraid; feeling that danger or evil is near; dread. A cause for being afraid; danger. An uneasy feeling; anxious thought; concern.
Meanwhile in the spiritual realm fear is described as awe; and reverence. In awe of who? Also who should the believers hold in reverence?† Is the fear of God the same spirit of fear noted in the secular world?
So fear has two principal meanings in English. First, an apprehension of evil which normally leads one to flee or fight. Second, awe and reverence which a man of good sense feels in the presence of God.
The Prophets preach that to fear Godís coming judgment is a reality none could escape (see Jeremiah 5:22, 24; Amos 3:8; and Zephaniah 3:7).
Fear of God is connected to keeping the law and commandments (see Ecclesiastes 12:13) and is the whole of wisdom. In Job 28:28 we find an even more succinct statement on this subject.
ďTruly the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil understanding.
