Beloved turmoil crossed not his mind as he rested in peace. Never did he wish to see or write of things buried in death and tragedy but death to some that think is life and often tragedy is an awakening to life. There goes the different view. However many disregard the sages as fools. These same blind men disregarded water in a desert with the illusion of an Oasis. (20 July 2009)
I found another place to look
upon the water. A large oak
tree half covered in moss stretched
over the creek, high were the trees.
A large part of the tree’s roots
held fast to the bank nestled
among the rocks. This is where
I found my resting place.
All things here were natural as
no man or woman could have
planted the rocks and trees in
Here the water made various
sounds as it washed upon the
rocks and flowed downstream
casting slight gentle waves
to each side.
I saw a sweet swift current
further upstream proceeding
endlessly upon the
quickly flowing water.
One tree on the other side
stuck into the side bank
as a pen sticks in a pen
cushion, leaning, looking
out over the creek as a
I could not help but dream of
the visual artist again and a canvas
to draw and paint upon.
Meanwhile I gazed upon my
surroundings that were so unique.
The great landscaper had been here as
He sculptured the land everywhere.
I will remember this place.
I hope also to remember this time.
