The Tiger Never Smiled  Can A Hen-Pecked Man Be A Godly Minister/Man?

Part 2: Man Up: To the Departed

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.

Will those blessed with Spiritual healing be able to face the inevitable time of death with faith? Many therefore come this way forfeiting the times of everlasting joy living only for temporal pleasures that last only for a time spent on earth that looks barren and foreign to those who look to Christ.

As we look to David that great poet, shepherd, great soldier, king and the ancestor of Jesus we see food for thought. David makes a charge to Solomon at I Kings 2:1-12.

David knew that his death was soon approaching. So he gave a charge to Solomon who was to continue as his appointed king. We will note verses 2-4 however we suggest that you read and digest all 12 verses as a primary reference and verses 13-46.

I Kings 2: 2-4. “I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;”

“And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and withersoever thou turnest  thyself:”

“That the Lord may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, I  thy children take heed to their way to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.”

The phrase “I go the way of all the earth,” is again noted as we previously recorded that Joshua made the same statement at Joshua 23: 14. It clearly means that all people of the earth have a destiny with death. There will be no exceptions. As we look further to “Man Up” we see the words strong and man in the second verse. Thus David realized that one must be a strong person with an individual leaning.

Will the brethren be strong in the Lord? Can you keep a charge to God by wallowing in darkness? Look now at the third verse. The charge previously noted can only be carried out by being obedient to the Lord. Solomon would thus be rewarded if the observed all these things and would have prosperity.

At our final verse 4 David had been promised by the Lord that if his children did right, he would always have a man to occupy his throne.

Many of the male species

looked up and down.

Some even looked to the

east and to the west.

Some that brought babies into

the world cried out man-hood

as the mother and babe hollered

out in hunger.

Some infested their body and

soul tainting the Spirit with useless

things material called wealth and

claimed man-hood.

However John relished and

reclined and relaxed in man-hood

as he walked in the Spirit and

embraced Christ.

There is no man nor woman without

Christ. So also is there no cloudy

or rainy day. The sun and the moon,

the earth stood still.

Man Up, God broke the day. Who

could go home if he knew not where

he was going?
