Part 16: The First Resurrection Is The Only Resurrection

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth

Editors Note: Beloved brethren do all that liveth realize?... “The Confirmed Destiny of all the Earth.” Therefore as we conclude (however we continue to walk in the Spirit) our posting of this series we will return to “Will the Acceptance of the Gospel Bring Back Jesus Christ?” However we will also post on alternate days a new series entitled “The Miracle and Power of Prayer.” So as we await the acceptance of the Gospel we pray.  As we discuss prayer we will hopefully motivate you to become more aware of the need to pray, the Biblical components (parts) of prayer   and what to pray for. Many prayers go unheard for various reasons. So once again more than once we look to the Bible to see what the writers inspired by God say about prayer and the acceptance of the Gospel.

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.

Brethren, dearly beloved the days that are last linger as God and Christ await the lost, the confused and those spiritually blind. Meanwhile, many lost souls run behind entertainers that aspire to be Ministers and God frowns. We also come to testify that the only way to be written in the Book of Life is by faith and knowing what God would have you to do.

The Prosperity Hustling Preachers and the run of the mill imposters in the pulpits will not teach you the Truth, because the Truth will turn you away from their false ministries. Meanwhile, we suggest that you fall in line with Christ Jesus and not some man or woman that claims to be sent by God, but actually comes with the Devil in mind and body. The body, the soul crumbles, but the Spirit lives on for the righteous.

We continue where we left off in the 20th Division of Revelation moving from the 14-15 verse we now see a cross reference back at verse 6. We will begin there for a further look at this subject.

Revelation 20: 6: “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

John speaks of the first resurrection in verse 5. For the record at John 11:25 Jesus says “I am the resurrection and the life.” Thus, Jesus was the first one to be resurrected never to die again (Acts 13:34). How can you have a part in the first resurrection? After coming to Christ one has to be faithful. We see an indication of this faith at John 11:26 “liveth and believth in me.”

When Christ noted to Martha “that person shall never die.” This means that the second death has no power. Just what is the second death? The second death is the punishment in the lake of fire and brimstone. Reign for a thousand years is a figurative expression. It applies to the faithful in Christ of all ages.

Meanwhile, there will be a bodily resurrection as we have previously noted of all human beings, both for the righteous and the unrighteous (See Daniel 12:2; John 5: 28, 29). Any reference to a resurrection before the second coming of Christ is figurative. (Also see I Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6, 5: 10, 20:14 and 21:8).

Revelation 20: 10: “And the devil that deceived them was  cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophets are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

There are many people that make up the vast almost endless army of Satan. All of these people have been deceived by the devil. At Revelation 21: 8 the lake of fire is mentioned and the people that will be cast into the lake of fire. This is the same lake that is mentioned in our present verse.

The figurative use of tormented day and night is noted and means there will be no recurrence of day and night. Thus, the literal meaning of “for ever and ever” is a reality. There will be no break in the endless fire for the unfaithful.

Beloved we trust and pray that you have gained an inspiration from the previously noted Epistles and Essays. They have been a blessing to us. Our prayer, as always is for all of humankind to be saved. We also pray that as we grow in Truth we will reap a blessing. This blessing we hope to pass on to the Brethren. To help the Brethren is the mission of the saints. Self is only necessary to pave the way for us to reach out to the masses.

I Thessalonians 2: 13: “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

Peace and Much Love,
