Part 1: Going Home

Editors Note: Has the sting of death been removed for the righteous? Will there be any pain at death for those that by faith have been obedient to God and Christ? Just how can you keep God and Christ first in a sin sick world? Will prayer help you stay with God? The Word notes God will never leave or forsake us? So is it difficult to stay with God? Why would so many people in the flesh seek to serve man instead of God? Is there much confusion as to what God wants and what the Devil has beguiled man to do? However regardless of your faith (or lack of) or love for God or the world all will meet a demise that is called Death. There is also a Heaven (Peace and Golden Paradise) and there is a Hell.

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.

Langston the man, the poet the writer the great thinker, last name Hughes often alluded to the great Jazz artists of his day. We also pay tribute to those of Jazz especially the likes of smooth John Coltrane and the classic music produced by Coltrane with the legendary male vocalist the incomparable Johnny Hartman.

However the Blues is the grounding the forerunner for the launching of Jazz which is exclusive to America as created and soulfully developed by the ancestors of the people from “The Land of the Blacks.” Thus I hear the mournful and inspirational lyrics and guitar licks of “Lightnin’ Hopkins” crying “Going Back Home” just as soon as God Break The Day.” Lightnin’ may have been thinking of his native Texas but we see Paradise.

Follow us brethren as we look to the Bible and some inspirational meaning for this subject for your on-going thought and mediation.

Joshua 23: 14: “And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.”

The first parents of the people of the world Adam and Eve committed sins and were expelled from the Garden of Eden and from the tree of life. Therefore the only thing to follow is a physical death. Will all of the people of the earth die? Has anyone lived forever? Is this then the fulfillment of God’s promise?

As the new day broke I

could see Paradise as my work

was through.

The physical death had passed

on as my Spiritual awakening now

came to a reality.

I could see Jesus I could see

Peace because now I truly

resided in Paradise.

The baby cried not with

joy as birth was sorrow and

The bands played as New Orleans

Jazz now made a sincere mark as

physical expiration was joy and

life everlasting.
