The Bible and the Truth of God have proclaimed righteousness upon the institution of marriage. Thus when both the husband and wife know God many problems are minor and insignificant. God is not a cure-all in that believers will also experience problems in life and in their marriage. However, God has given us guidelines to follow. Therefore if we follow them, our marriages will be of Love for God, self and for our mates.
What is the way of the world?

BIBLICAL ROLE OF WOMEN (HOME, CHURCH, SOCIETY)
PART 7: THE GODLY WOMAN: PROVERBS 31
In the name of Jehovah God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.
We are thankful for yet another day on this side. I heard a believer say "I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now." It is so good to have the strength to Praise God. Many have passed on without Praise. And many still wait unable for various reasons to Praise God. Thus we are thankful that we are enlightened enough to Praise God our Father and give Tribute to His Son our Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God for our Savior and for the Holy Spirit.
The Bible renders a clear message as to the role and duties of the wife and mother. In the Bible therefore we find a clear message about what makes up a Godly woman. A Godly woman is a good home-maker. She does not hide from her home-making responsibilities. In the Wisdom Book we find the inspired Word of God revealing the essence of the Virtuous Woman.
Virtue means that which allows something to perform its function well. Thus a virtuous woman is one that performs the duties of a woman well. What are these duties?†† Is a virtuous woman pretty? Is physical beauty important in the Godly virtuous woman?
In Proverbs 31 Lemuel a king receives wise advice from his mother. We will begin with the mother telling Lemuel about what makes a good wife.
Proverbs 31:10. "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies."
In this passage we see that the word virtuous is taken from a Hebrew word that means to be wise, able, and industrious. The essential thought noted in this passage is that whoever finds an able and industrious wife has found a woman worth more than rubies. We noted earlier in this series the creation of woman noted in Genesis 2:18. God provided man with a helper. In the present scripture verse 10-31 describes the kind of companion God intended a woman to be for her husband.
Proverbs 12:4. "A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones."
Also, see Ruth 3:11 for another example of a virtuous woman.
Proverbs 31:11-18. "The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil."
31:12. "She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life."
31:13. "She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands."
31:14. "She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar."
31:15. "She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to the household, and a portion to her maidens."
31:16. "She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planeth a vineyard."
31:17. "She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms."
31:18. "She perceive that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night."
In verse 11 we note that a virtuous and Godly wife will be thrifty and save her husbandís earnings. (See 1 Peter 3:1-2). Therefore as noted in verse 12 the good wife because of her thrifty habits she will forever be a benefit to her husband.
The Godly woman described in verse 13 will make a way out of no way. See the following:
Genesis 18:6. "And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make take upon the hearth."
We note here for those that continue to view the role of women as inspired by male chauvinists that the men were also involved in the food preparation in that Abraham dressed the calf. Read Genesis 18:1-8 for a more detailed rendering of what is happening here at this place.
We will now turn to another passage of scriptures in the Book of Genesis.
Genesis 24:18-20. "And she said Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink."
24:19. "And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels, also, until they have done drinking"
24:20. "And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again until the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels."
We resume now with the 14 verse of Proverbs 31. The Godly woman will not stop at the most convenient source for getting the things she needs for her family.† In verse 15 the Godly woman is not seen as an over burdened person who is used as a slave.† However she is the beloved wife of a husband who appreciates her ability and loves her as a gift from God. This woman is filled with wisdom and is always busy in the care and love for her family.
