BIBLICAL ROLE OF WOMEN (HOME, CHURCH, SOCIETY)
PART 12: CLEANLINESS AND CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBILITY
We declare as Almighty God is our witness and Judge: Preachers allow the world and Satan in the Church. Thus all Preachers that insist on following Satan and not God will Justly Go Straight to Hell.
In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.
Cleanliness of the temple of God is also a very important principle in Christian Responsibility. Here our objective is to show through the scriptures that certain clothes are not suitable and disrespectful to God and God's people. For example women wearing pants during the worship service is inappropriate. So are many forms of casual clothes worn by men during the service? If clothes are of casual attire, they are not appropriate for church service.
As Christians we know that we do not serve a casual God. We know that a certain discipline, respect and reverence should be among all believers in the Houses of God. Thus, men wearing loose-fitting jeans, T-shirts and shirts unbuttoned at the top are not respectful to God and his Houses of worship.
In Zechariah 3:2-4 we see how we can obtain God's mercy. Here we see God saying that it is His initiative to remove our filthy garments of sin. When this is done, God provides us with new clean clothes.
For the righteousness of God see 2 Corinthian 5:21, Revelations 19:8. The clean clothes of God's righteousness make you worthy to draw near to God.
The following are several scriptures that note the importance of the inward appearance. However these scriptures do not contradict or refute the importance of one's outward appearance. However a clean heart is more important in our Christian journey.
1 Samuel 16:7. While everyone can see your face, only you and God know what your heart really looks like. Which is the more attractive part of you?
(See John 7:24, 2 Corinthians 5:12, 10:7 and 1 Thessalonians 5:22).
Christians must be concerned with how the world views them. Of course Christians are not to confuse the world. But they must be mindful that they should not present an un-Christian attitude to the world. Therefore Christians should not wear revealing and loud (hustling, nightclub, Hip-Hop clothes) clothes to church.
Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 6:3, "Giving no offer in anything, that the ministry be not blamed." In everything he did Paul considered what his actions communicated about Jesus Christ. As a believer you are a minister for God. You should not allow non-Christians to observe you in a negative way. Therefore, do not allow your undisciplined behavior to cause others to reject God.
As we return to the Old Testament, we see a very important scripture. Deuteronomy 17:1. This scripture reminds us that if we give God the leftovers and not our best it shows that God is not at the center of our lives. We are not honoring and respecting God when we wear any garments to Houses of God. This scripture advises us to give God the first claim on our money, time and
talents. Let us know move to scriptures that note the Christian responsibility toward reverence.
In 2 Chronicles 6:3 & 13.
As the people received Solomon's blessing, they stood as Solomon prayed, he knelt. Standing and kneeling are acts, of reverence and how we honor God. (See Nehemiah 7:2, 8:56 Reverence to God).
Also see Psalms 34:9, 11-14
The Bible often connects the fear of the Lord with obedience.
1 Peter 1:17
God is the Judge of all the earth; we dare not ignore him or trust him casually. We must show respect for our heavenly Father.
THEREFORE IT IS DISRESPECTFUL TO GOD FOR PREACHERS TO DECLARE A CASUAL DAY THAT ALLOWS CHURCH GOERS TO WEAR CASUAL CLOTHES TO WORSHIP SERVICES.
The FreedomJournal asks all Foolish Preachers and the Foolish people that follow them: Do you want God to have a casual attitude regarding His blessings? Do you want God to take a casual attitude when you want a prayer answered? Do you want God to be casual (which means late) at the Day of Judgment? However we believe that those that believe in a Casual God do not believe in God.
