Part 18: The Word Calls Out: Longsuffering Is Not Endless

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth

Editors Note: May the Peace of Almighty God be forever with you. Beloved we are taught that when you obey the Divine Laws the Peace of God goes with you. This Peace will conquer all things. This includes Spiritual and physical healing. We thank God for seeing our back and as we go forward we only look back to see the present and the future. Peace be unto you.

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.

Beloved the Lord waits patiently on the world to repent. However just as in the days of Noah man in his quest to satisfy self and the flesh reject Truth. So the FreedomJournal continues to cry out for repentance and respect for the word. However mostly we hear only deaf ears as the tongue confesses not to God but to man, custom, tradition race and many things immoral.

Follow us now Brethren to some powerful scripture that will put this topic of our discussion in a proper perspective and add clarity to our over-all topic on the acceptance of the Gospel and the return of Christ. At II Peter 3: 9 we find these words:

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

The word slack in this verse takes on a different meaning with the Lord. Usually slack is defined as to delay or be slow in doing something someone has promised to do. Now look at the phrase “as some men count slackness.” What man considers late or tardy does not apply to the Lord.

Therefore the thinking of some so-called believers etc. that there is delay in the earth ending is not true. However the scriptures reveal that the delay is due to the longsuffering and patience that Almighty God is rendering to humanity. Thus is the Lord waiting on us to repent? Does He wait on the nation of Israel to accept Christ?

Meanwhile this powerful scripture revealed by the inspired Apostle Peter tells us that “not willing that any should perish.” Here is a two-fold message, literarily God wants all to be saved also no one will be given a chance to be saved after the earth is destroyed. One must accept Christ before the end or before their death. After you have passed on all your prayers are finished and no one can pray you into Heaven at your funeral.

All that do not repent will perish. However many people wait and are slack with the word. Jesus taught this at:

Luke 13: 3, 5 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall likewise perish.”

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall likewise perish.”

However the longsuffering of the Lord is not endless for example in the days of Noah:

The Righteousness of Noah Page

Genesis 6: 3: “And the Lord said, my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

Now look at a scripture taken from I Peter 3: 20.

“Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the day of Noah, while the ark was are preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”

When Almighty God (who is all knowing and has infinite wisdom) decides that His longsuffering has served its full purpose the end will come.
