Part 16: The Last Unfulfilled Prophecy and The 2nd Coming of Christ
In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth
Editors Note: Peace be still and may God’s will be done. Time winds down and up as the world moves closer to the Last and Final Day. The only way to the Father is through Christ Jesus. However our prayer as always is for all of humankind to be saved.
Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.
Beloved we are grateful today that Almighty God has allowed His mercy and blessings upon all people that accept Christ Jesus as the Messiah the Son of God. However there is often some confusion as to who are privy to God’s blessings and Peace and Paradise. Follow us now to very important scripture noted at Romans 11 for a word on this subject as it pertains to our over-all discussion.
As God extends His mercy to Israel at verse 25-36 at the 11 Division of Romans God extends His mercy to all of humankind. Our primary verses will be 26-29 however we suggest that you read and mediated over the entire chapter.
Romans 11:26: “And all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: “
Brethren what does the phrase “All Israel shall be saved” mean? Surely this does not mean that every individual Hebrew will be saved. For example we know that God nowhere says that all Gentiles will be saved thus no nation has any automatic saving grace from the Lord. Thus all have to accept Christ as the Messiah to be saved this includes Israel and anyone that walks and crawls the earth.
However this phrase means that the Jews as a nation will give up its opposition to Christ as the Messiah noted in the scriptures. This will then open the door for “the ungodliness to be turned away” from them. This can be accomplished by turning from transgression. Thus we see the only unfulfilled prophecy between now and the 2nd coming of Christ. Now follow us to several cross references to get even a better understanding of this prophecy.
Isaiah 59: 20 “And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.”
This scripture applies to the oppression rendered to the Jews by the Babylonian captivity. However the Lord would override that oppression. Therefore Israel would be released to return to Zion or Jerusalem which was the capital of the nation, at the 14th Division of Psalms we see similar scripture turn there for added clarity.
Psalms 14 7: “Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”
This verse renders a two-fold prophecy. First it speaks toward the captivity and bringing the people back from oppression to a state of good fortune. Thus the return of the Jews from the Babylonia captivity. Meanwhile the second application directly refers back to our primary scripture at Romans 11: 26 and notes that the Jewish nation will return from the disbelief in Christ to a state of belief in Him as the Messiah. (Also see Jeremiah 3: 18)
