WILL THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GOSPEL BRING BACK JESUS CHRIST?
Update FreedomJournal: We still struggle to post the On-Line FreedomJournal. We therefore trust that someone will receive this message.
Part 15: Will The Multitude of False Teachers Rush The Eventual Last & Final Day?
In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth
Editors Note: Beloved the FreedomJournal Press is commissioned by Almighty God therefore we will cease to publish, write, think and post to the Internet or any other means of publishing at God’s will. Meanwhile many come as sheep in clothing that stink of unclean wolves and dogs to distort the true Word of God and mis-lead, confuse and convict the brethren in sin.
James 1: 12: “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.
Beloved there has always been false Prophets, Preachers and Teachers in the church. As we move our discussion to the New Testament time we will turn to Matthew and scripture that looks at the destruction of Jerusalem the 2nd coming of Christ and false prophets.
Matthew 24: 4-5 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
Often this scripture (Matthew 24) gets confused as a statement solely in reference to the 2nd coming of Christ. However it speaks of the destruction of Jerusalem at verses 4-26, 28 and 34-35. Meanwhile the 2nd coming of Christ is noted at verses 27, 30-31 and 36-51.
The destruction of Jerusalem came about due to the war between the Romans and the Jews. At verse 14 we see that the end means the end of Jerusalem at 70 A.D. Therefore the Gospel had gone out throughout the world. Thus the Great Commission of the Apostles noted at Matthew 28: 19 and Mark 16: 15 was fulfilled in the 1st Century which agrees with Colossians 1: 23 and Romans 10: 18.
At verse 3 of our primary scripture taken from Matthew 24 the disciples of Jesus ask… “When will the end come and the signs that would allow them to know?” Therefore by paying attention to the signs Jesus discloses they would be able to detect the false prophets. Jesus knew that ambitious men would try to take advantage of the situation caused by the destruction of Jerusalem and make statements about the 2nd coming of Christ.
Meanwhile at verse five we see the phrase “come in my name” means they will take on the name of Jesus as they come among the people. These days they come claiming to be Prophets, Apostles and Preachers called by God. We also note that during the time in which we now live there are parallels in the so-called acceptance of these false teachers then and now. Therefore merely just because they wear (and talk) the name of Jesus many people will look no further and blindly accept those that come as false teachers. Therefore today as yesterday there was/is grand acceptance of people that claim to be called as Preachers. From our observation many churches are filled with people that look to a Preacher that does not hold and uplift God first.
For an additional look at false prophets in the Old Testament see II Kings 3: 13, Isaiah 44: 25 at Jeremiah 23: 16 however we suggest that you read the entire chapter of Jeremiah 23 as it is one of the most powerful statements on the role of Preachers/Ministers in the Bible. Also see Ezekiel 13: 2-3; Micah 3: 5; and Zechariah 13: 2.
